Mr Kim was allegedly murdered using the VX nerve agent - a chemical toxin classified as a weapon of mass destruction - at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 on Feb 13.

Although Malaysia has never directly accused North Korea of being behind the attack, many speculate that it must have orchestrated it. Experts say the VX nerve agent used to kill Kim was nearly certainly produced in a sophisticated state weapons laboratory, and North Korea is widely believed to possess large quantities of chemical weapons.

It was astounding the U.S. government had provided over £1billion in aid to North Korea to no result, as Kim Jong-un continues to escalate the situation on the peninsula, Donald Trump's Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said.

Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said on Wednesday that Kuala Lumpur Hospital had embalmed Jong Nam's body to prevent decomposition.

Malaysia has not initiated formal negotiations with North Korea over the latter's decision to bar Malaysians from leaving, said the country's Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today.

There has been no mention of Kim Jong-nam's death in North Korea's media.

Malaysian police have briefly visited the North Korean embassy in Kuala Lumpur. Both reportedly believed they were participating in a television prank.

The health ministry is awaiting an official announcement from the Malaysian Government over the management of the body of Kim Jong-nam, the elder half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, who was assassinated in the country last month.

"We have obtained the red notice for the four North Korean men who were at the airport during the incident".

A red notice is the nearest equivalent to an global arrest warrant. North Korea is not a member.

According to the paper, another clip showed the man subsequently crossing paths with the other woman, and based on the footage the expert said it was plausible signals were also exchanged between them.

Pyongyang has denounced the Malaysian investigation as an attempt to smear the secretive regime, insisting that the 45-year-old most likely died of a heart attack. "You have to wait", Deputy Police Inspector-General Noor Rashid Ibrahim told reporters.

He had openly criticised his family's dynastic control of North Korea.

Jong-nam, who is believed to have at least six children, had been living in exile for several years in the Chinese territory of Macau.
