Chelsea still a team in transition, says Conte

Eden Hazard says Chelsea's impressive FA Cup semi-final victory over Tottenham Hotspurs has restored belief they can resist Mauricio Pochettino's side in the race for the Premier League title.

The Blues need to bounce back in the league after losing to Manchester United 2-0 last time out, a defeat that saw their lead at the top of the table cut to just four points to second-placed Spurs.

Antonio Conte does not believe he would be emulating Carlo Ancelotti by winning the Premier League and FA Cup with Chelsea this season because he is managing a Blues squad in transition.

Asked if beating Spurs in the FA Cup gave his side a psychological edge for the title run-in, Conte replied: "I don't think so".

"This week is crucial for us because in this week Tottenham have the advantage", Conte said. The only way we can do that is starting with a win on Wednesday.

"The best players in the world don't exist without a team".

Chelsea last did the league and FA Cup double in 2010 as Carlo Ancelotti enjoyed a similarly impressive first season in the hot seat, although Conte highlighted the different circumstances his compatriot faced.

Hamas says Ismail Haniyeh chosen as Islamic group's leader
Labeled a terrorist organization by the West and Israel, Hamas said it would continue armed resistance as a legitimate right. Haniyeh used to be active within the "Islamic bloc, the student arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, where from Hamas has emerged".

Eden Hazard scored an awesome goal for Chelsea in their 4-2 win against Tottenham at Wembley on April 23.

Southampton posed plenty more questions of an uncharacteristically shaky Chelsea for the remainder of the first half but captain Gary Cahill headed them ahead in stoppage time.

After an impressive 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, Palace manager Sam Allardyce is looking to preserve his remarkable record of never being relegated from the Premier League during his managerial career.

"We all know that it won't be easy because Southampton is a really good team, with a good coach and good players".

"Honestly I don't know".

"Chelsea away is, of course, maybe the toughest game this year, but I think that we have the possibility to get the result. In the way we play, we try to push but it was not enough".

"We lost last weekend against a great team and for the rest of the season, it is always good to have the confidence up".
