Taylor Swift expected to testify in photo grope case

08 August 2017

On Monday, jury selection will take place for the trial that could last up to nine days, per Business Insider.

Mueller was sacked in June 2013 after Swift claimed he put his hand under her skirt while taking a photo with her backstage.

Swift counter-sued with claims he assaulted her.

Swift is countersuing Mueller, seeking a ruling holding him responsible.

Ex-DJ David Mueller already has been sanctioned for destroying evidence.

U.S. District Judge William Martinez has already sanctioned Mueller for destroying four devices, including his computer and an iPhone, which held a recording he made with his boss the day after the incident with Swift, per The Daily Beast. She tried to keep the situation "discreet and quiet and confidential" and was upset by Mueller's claim that "for some reason she might have some incentive to actually fabricate this story", her attorney, Douglas Baldridge, has argued in court.

Prospective jurors in a civil trial involving dueling lawsuits between Taylor Swift and an ex-Denver radio disc jockey are being asked whether they are fans of the singer-songwriter or the former host of a country music show.

Taylor is now expected to testify in the civil court this week, with opening statements thought to begin on Tuesday, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

New York Adds Five New Registered Organizations To Medical Marijuana Program
As of August 1, 2017, there are 25,736 certified patients and 1,139 registered practitioners participating in the program. Once the new companies are up and running, NY will have a total of 10 manufacturing sites and 40 statewide.

Swift's security guard was about 3 feet (about 1 meter) away during the meet-and-greet, Mueller says.

In it, Mueller's hand is hidden behind the singer near her bottom but he claims the only physical contact they had was when their arms brushed as they took their positions.

The photo shows David Mueller with his right hand behind the singer, just below her waist, before a 2013 concert.

Police and a bomb-sniffing dog waited in the rain Monday with about a dozen reporters before potential jurors were set to arrive for questioning. "It was not an accident, it was completely intentional, and I have never been so sure of anything in my life".

The Denver Post reported that security removed Mueller from the concert shortly after the meet-and-greet photo session and Swift's manager Frank Bell told KYGO about the alleged incident. It's not often you see a person of Swift's stature in the courtroom, let alone testifying, so the whole thing is being turned into quite a disturbing spectacle.

Mr. Mueller, who is scheduled to testify, has repeatedly denied groping Ms.

Swift plans to donate any winnings from the trial to a charity that fights against, and protects women from, sexual assault.

Members of the public can line up to watch proceedings from an overflow room in the courthouse, but so far there hasn't been a big turnout.
